You’ve created your amazing music. Yay! Now time to get distributing it. But oh no! What about the album artwork you need for distributing to places like Spotify and Apple Music? You can’t put your music out there naked! How embarrassing if it ended up going out there with an image like the one in this post! Not great first impressions for all your hard work.

If you’re not artistic yourself and don’t have a handy artist friend who can quickly whip something up for you, try these handy steps.

1. Create cool album artwork with RelayThat

Create artwork using all the features available to you in RelayThat (YouTube banner and square image) and download. It will save at 1200 x 1200 px for the square image for social media.

2. Use the free version of Canva

Go to ‘create’ mode and select 3000 x 3000 px size. Import image that you created and downloaded from RelayThat. Then download, selecting the jpeg option. This will upgrade the size of the file but not the image quality. It’s not possible to upgrade the quality of an image originally created at a lower quality. However, the image you create from this process will now meet the specifications for album covers in RouteNote.
